Phoenician tombs

This Punico-Lybian necropolis from the year 1400 A.C., popularly known as the "Phoenician Tombs", is one of the most iconic places in the city. Located in a privileged location in the Marshan district, this necropolis has 108 tombs carved directly on the rock of a gorge much visited by locals and tourists alike thanks to its attractive view of the Strait of Gibraltar and its sunsets. Sun. It is a key place in mythology, particularly to the myth of the giant Antaeus and Hercules. Several archaeological remains that were found there are now displayed in the Kasbah Museum.
